WHAT IS CORNS & CALLUSES?
Corns and callus are areas of thickened skin that build-up due to excessive pressure from walking or running. They are in response too to much pressure in the area and can cause acute pain, swelling, and redness. The skin underneath a corn or callus can ulcerate which can become infected if left too long requiring more urgent treatment.
