Our skilled podiatry team is passionately committed to improving patient outcomes through cutting-edge treatments. We take pride in incorporating shockwave therapy as a pivotal solution to tackle a diverse range of foot and ankle conditions. Guided by our unwavering dedication to ongoing enhancement, our goal is to consistently deliver the utmost in positive results for each and every patient we serve.

WHAT IS SHOCKWAVE THERAPHY
What is Shockwave Therapy? Shockwave Therapy, or Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT), is a non-invasive and highly effective podiatric treatment. By harnessing high-energy shockwaves, this technique stimulates the body’s natural healing processes, promoting tissue repair and regeneration.

How does it work? A compressed air-driven projectile strikes a fixed applicator, generating kinetic energy converted into shockwaves. These shockwaves, when applied to injured tissues, trigger metabolic reactions, including the reduction of pain, increased blood circulation, and activation of stem cells.

CONDITIONS TREATED
Discover relief for:

  • Plantar Fasciitis: Stimulates collagen production, reduces inflammation.
  • Achilles Tendinopathy: Accelerates healing, strengthens the tendon.
  • Morton’s Neuroma: Breaks down scar tissue, reduces nerve compression.
  • Shin Splints: Reduces pain & inflammation, allowing a quicker return to activities.
  • Arch & Ankle Pain: Effective for chronic, long-term issues.
OUR TREATMENT PROCESS
  1. Initial Assessment: Our experienced podiatry team evaluates your condition, medical history, and treatment options to determine if shockwave therapy is the right choice.
  2. Treatment Sessions: A series of 3-5 sessions may be advised.
  3. Recovery: While the treatment may cause temporary discomfort, most patients can resume regular activities immediately, with some recommended adjustments for optimal outcomes.
RESULTS AND EXPECTATIONS
Many patients experience immediate pain reduction and increased movement. However, true results may take 2-4 weeks post-treatment. Your journey to pain relief is our priority.
QUALITY MATTERS
Not All Shockwave Therapy is the Same At Claremont Podiatry, we use the EMS Dolorclast machine from Switzerland. Pioneers in shockwave technology, EMS patented the first radial shockwave device in 1997. Our machine boasts a robust body of research, proving its effectiveness when used for the right conditions in the right circumstances.
